when i was a kid, Thanks giving weekend my mom did up the whole house...

it was always the best time of the year at my house for sure...even as a teenager i was always so excited about it...she always sprayed that fake snow, and had pine freshener spray always going..it was sooo cool..we always had artificial trees...i and my dad always did the light repairs...only time he was sober i think..lol

BBAAAAWWWW Humbug, LOL. In the middle of a renovation and drywall crap everywhere, might not go up till 20th. Usually put it up around the 12th. Don't want it to dry out. ( real Tree)

I don't buy into the commercialization of Christmas.

Might not do a tree this year.

Unless the wife demands it.

We will see.

We put ours up last weekend. One douglas fir and one chinese plastic. Gotta have a live one or its not Christmas. My wife decorated both over thanksgiving holiday. I'm heading out deer hunting in a little bit.

We'll probably cut our tree this Sunday, may put it up same day or wait a week - we'll see. Rest of the decorations went up this past Friday - Sandra looks forward to & enjoys the season far more than I do.

I have one of those old fashion silver aluminum trees. No strings of lights to mess with and no pine needles all over the place. Just plug in the spot light with the color wheel (red, green, blue, yellow).

The tree and lights are up in the Rod Hot Garage. The main tree is up as well, but I don't see that much of it. I'm not sure if that is good or bad? Probably bad two weeks a month, good one week a month and a push the other week. My kid and I got the outside lights up yesterday which was cool. She is now 13 and takes great pride in doing most of the ladder work. This evening she and I also got the small tree in the stand for the basement man cave, but it won't get decorated for a few days as we are waiting for the old fashioned C7 lights to arrive.
