Default "Z" Bar

Does anyone know if the "Bolt On Z Bar bracket" from a 67-69 Camaro or 68-72 442 GTO chevelle, will work on a 65 GTO, trying to find one that does not need to be welded on.

I have seen the later style 68-72 GTO style "Z" bar installed on a 65 GTO.

Apparently it worked but was more complex vs the old stuff.

I did a 4 speed conversion on a 64, which would be the same, using a bracket from a 67 Firebird. I think the Camaro is the same, but check on that.

I installed a '65-'67 repop bracket on a '66 20 years ago and bolted it on. Drilled two holes in the bracket, two into the frame, and tapped the frame holes. Worked excellent, and very easy to do. The owner was going to have it welded later, not sure if he ever did. Plenty of meat to work with, and plenty strong.
