Default 1959 Pontiac found in junkyard

Came across this 59 in a yard I visit on a regular basis. I have posted a few pictures of the car. Have a look to see if there is anything you need.

Next weekend I am returning for a few other items of interest.

By the door panel trim it looks like it is a Star Chief.

That rear bumper is worth a bit, but I don't see much else from the photos that is worth much. If it has any trim pieces around the front I might be interested. My guess is most of it is picked over.

Vol, front trim was almost all there, picture did not come out. What do you need?

Was that tail lens in the trunk any good? I've been looking for a lens without having to spend a fortune on ebay.

starchief1959, there was a chip in the corner. I could get it to you for $5 plus shipping if you need a useable(not show) lens.

The balls for the rockers are no easier to find than the rockers themselves. Take both and keep the matching ball and rocker together. Run a short piece of small gauge wire through the ball and rocker, then twist the ends together.

The engine/trans would be nice to have. And the rear end. Ever travel to Il area?

Thanks, but I am looking for one that's "complete" lens. I have both now but my driver's side is missing a small corner. Not looking for show, just would like one that's all there.

I worked in Evansville, Indiana back in 1998. Have not been back since. Plus I traded in my 1990 F150 for a 2006 Torrent. That being said, I have no capability to haul anymore.

Thank you Bill. If they are still there this weekend, I will do what you suggested. Then add them to my collection.

Get the pushrods too. Replacement part from Pontiac (which hasn't been available in years) is part # 522974, a kit consisting of ball, rocker and pushrod.

Cooling elbows for reverse flow that come off heads to timing cover are hard to come by if both are there. I can see one in picture. Thanks,

I know someone who needs the stainless steel tubes that are exposed when you remove these elbows. I recently removed one by removing the elbow and using sets of needle nose pliers to grasp the exposed ends of the tubes, gently moving the tubes back and forth and twisting a little while pulling on them.

I'll point him at this posting so the two of you can make contact.

That would be me. Thanks for the heads up, Bill!

radioburingchrome - Sent you a PM with my contact info and a list of a few other things that I might need. I appreciate you posting up about this.

Thanks,

I could use the passenger side front "eyebrow" stainless piece, the small piece on the fender side. Also need a good side view mirror, I'd also take the ignition switch if the little plastic insert piece is still in tact (not sure if these are easy to find aftermarket). Please let me know what you need from me if these are available, thanks much!

Sideview mirrors were gone, dash was canabalized completely. Front chrome was still there. I will take whatever I can and post my results.
