Default cooling tube snag

Gary,

The cooling tubes did not come out. After spending 30 minutes each trying to be careful, I tried harder to get them out. The picture shows the state they are in. Is it possible to straighten it out?

Radiator needs to come off the front. Two out of ten bolts are stuck and need to be cut out with a torch (extra charge by the yard). A few busted knuckles and a few hornet stings (forgot my be spray) and I left.

Pictures posted of what I found.

Default Other parts

A few items were left on the floor of the car: shift indicator, inside left windshield stainless, right front top grill moulding and wiper switch.

Does the wiper switch fit any other years? It looks very similar to the wipre switch for a 65-66.

The tubes are fairly soft and easily bent. I buggered up the end of the one I took out (not as bad as yours looks) and was able to get it back into shape by using a piece of 1/2" wood dowel as a forming tool.

The donor car has been off the road since 1970! They are fused solid.

I can't tell from the picture if the rear end is still there. If it is, be sure to check if it is a Saf-T-Trac. If so, you should definitely save it. There is always people looking for those.

If anyone needs anything from this car let me know ASAP. I no longer live 25 minutes away, my trip is over an hour now.

I am going to try to make one this weekend.

I could use the oil dipstick if it still there, mine broke into two pieces and haven't been able to find a proper replacement.

I would still like the chrome / metal eyebrow over the passenger side headlights - can you still get that? I didn't see anything about it posted since we first corresponded, thanks.

I can check.

Will a dipstick from a 65 Bonneville 389 fit? I have one laying around.

It had a few dings (not dents). Are you looking for a show piece or driver?

Not sure if a 65 dipstick will fit, the 59. the orginal is just over 24" long from tip to shoulder of stick if that helps.

The car is still in the yard as of last weekend. I have moved away and it is no longer feasible to make regular visits.
