Default Float bowl#

My small center carb float bowl # on the side in a circle is 7026841.

Does anyone know what years it is correct for. I do think it is a Pontiac part #. Not sure though.

Thanks, Dave

I do not have my Rochester Carb Spec sheets close by to confirm the bowl number.
Maybe Kenth has that info handy. You did nopt say what year your Tri-Power was but assume 64 or 65. (based on the small carb comment.

I have never seen a center Pontiac Tri-Power carb with float bowl number 7026841. Does it have the "1 1/4" cast between the venturi bores?

I have 12 center carbs with float bowl number7019927 (manual transmission '61-'65 Pontiac) and 4 float bowl number 7019929 (automatic transmission '61-'65 Pontiac). I have one with a float bowl number 7043785, which is likely a service replacement for the 7019927. I found this one on a 1965 Tri-Power.

The early ('57-'60) center carb float bowl is casting number 7009094. These do not have the "1 1/4" cast between the venturi bores.

I looked at my sheets, and they are the same 9naturally) as what info Dick B. posted.

The 1-1/4 will clearly be on the divider rib between the two Center Carb venturis.

I agree with Dick and Tom.
This number is not to be found on an original Pontiac Tripower carb.
Could be a Delco/Rochester Service Replacement unit?
Have to see the thing "live" and to measure calibration to have an idea.

Thanks EV1 , It does have the 1-1/4" stamped in the float bowl.

My thoughts are it is a Service /Replacement carb also., but I thought someone would also have a similar center carb with their tripower setup.

Thanks again.

Stamped or Cast Into the Divider? Factory is cast into the divider rib between the bores.

Can you post pictures of the float bowl--especially the front? Also, a picture of the passenger side where the ported vacuum is found on some of these center carbs. Maybe it's an A.I.R. version.

Judging from the 7026 prefix, it was engineered after 1965. Note the 7043785 I have has a prefix even higher. .

The base with the double drilled mounting holes looks like it came from an "economy" carb not a tri power.

I know it is not a Pontiac tri-power original carb. I was wondering if it might be a Pontiac service replacement or just to a 2bl car. or not Pontiac at all.

Agree that the base is wrong, the main body is wrong, and some of the hardware is basic 2 bbl parts.

I have a few of the "economy" carbs. . The float bowl number is 7019923 on most of them and 7016085 on one of them. The 7019923 does have the 1 1/4 cast between the venturi holes. The 7018085 does not have the 1 1/4 casting and has smaller vernturi's. The airhorn, choke housing, and venturi cluster are all identical to a "correct" Tri-Power center carb '61-'65.

I have found that these can be used for '59-'65 center carbs if you cut the casting boss for the fast idle cam back to the same dimension as a "correct" Tri-Power float bowl. The bases can also be used, but conversion to the normal small center carb base takes considerable work. The cast iron base can be modified by cutting back the driver's side throttle shaft area to match the normal Tri-Power base. The throttle shaft can also be cut to length and the key machined to accept the throttle lever.

Or, these carbs can be used on a pre-'66 intake with no mods or on a '66 intake since the dual bolt pattern is there. This makes it simple to put an electric choke on a '66 Tri-Power setup.

We still don't know the 7026841 fuel bowl application.

Dick
Are you suggesting the 7016085 is not 1 1/4 venturi? I have one as an old core that is of course unmarked but measures 1 1/4. Well, maybe 1 7/32 but it's hard to get a good measure in there and I have different carbs that are cast with 1 1/4 that measure the same. My carb 7016085 came with a tag 7015062 which I believe is 1960 A/T economy.
