Default 68 molded heater hose

Got a new molded heater hose to replace the mess someone did to install a radiator flush adapter. Problem is I can't figure out the correct way the hose routes. It could go on with either leg going to the heater core and vice versa. Here is a picture of it. Does the longer leg of the hose go to the nipple on the head like I have it shown or onto the heater core? Thanks, Jeff

I think you've got it backwards in that picture. looks like two angle bend on the one side and one 90 on the other. I'd think the two angle side is for the heater core tube. one angle to straighten it up, the other to come over in a 90 over the head kind of thing. possibly shorten that up that heater core side too so it doesn't stick so far off the firewall?

at least that's my opinion on it so I'll watch for others to chime in here!

Correct. Turn it around. The part over the manifold should plug into the angled heater core tube and the part next to the heater core should plug into the outlet in the cyl head.

Thanks guys, reversed it and got it installed. FYI, the 69 assembly manual (not sure it would have been different for 68) shows the 3/4" heater hose from the core to the water pump is to be installed over the top of the molded 5/8" hose from core to head nipple, so I did it that way.

Sorry, can't figure out how to get the second picture turned right side up???
