Default Main bearing question

Friend has a 65 GTO with a 68 428 engine. Upon tearing it down to rebuild, he found mains cut .040 from std and rod bearings .030 from std. Does anyone know where he can find new bearings???

I don't think I have ever seen -.040 main bearings for a Pontiac. 3.25 crank or 3.0" crank. Not doubting somebody made them at some point. Any idea what brand of bearings it has in it now? It may be easier to find another 428 crank, STD or -.010 than it will be to find those bearings. -.030 rod bearings are not an issue.

If those -.040 bearings are in fact available, the first thing to do is verify the crankshaft can be reused at -.040. There certainly won't be any further under size available.
