Default '64 Tail Pipe / Splitter Question

Purchased a complete original style exhaust system from Inline Tube for Dad's '64. Tail Pipe seems to hang much too low compared to references I have. Tried making adjustments but there really doesn't seem to be anything mounted wrong. Used original hangar mounting holes. Tried turning tailpipe. Nothing.
Thinking that they simply didn't bend the pipe correctly. Need to find a local exhaust shop that still bends pipe and have them make a new tail pipe that doesn't hang so low.

Plan is to install the set of Splitters he got for it a long time ago but not until I can get the Tail Pipe tucked up a bit more. Even cutting off the required amount from rear for the Splitter will still have the pipe and Splitter hanging too low.

Suggestions? Any good references of how the Tail Pipe should be hanging?

Thanks!

Looks to be like the "original sin" is where the tailpipe attaches to the muffler.
Looks like the angle is at 8:00 and needs to be at 9:00 to swing the pipes upward.

Your tail pipe hangers are mounted in the wrong hole... I'll post a picture shortly.

Exhaust is always a wrestling match. I'm just wondering what the he!! happened to that poor gas tank! Looks like ya dragged it down a gravel road! Good luck with your exhaust! The factory splitters are MAJOR COOL!

Here you go... It looks like the hole you used is too far back. There should be a set of two holes over top each other toward the upper edge of the frame, with the bolt going in the top hole and the locator tab going in the bottom one.

Here's a pix of the RH Tail Pipe that was on the car when my Dad bought it from original owner back in the early 80s.
Definitely see now that the shop he had install the Inline Tube exhaust used wrong hangar mounting holes for Tail Pipes.
Plus, to Tom's point above, the Tail Pipe could be turned in Muffler to bring it up a bit as well.

Appreciate the tips!
