Maybe it's my old eyes, but the upper radiator hose looks to be at an odd angle, maybe the wrong thermostat housing or installed backwards?

Main reason I quit judging particularly the POCI platinum class, was because to judge properly took several hours, and people were complaining that I was being too strict.

btw there was a Tee handle available in '69 (mostly on Judges) but was a one-year-only design and cannot tell from photos if correct.

Wow, that Meridian 68 is a beauty! Such detail.

Could be the hose, but it could be a production change in the hose for those cars, later (1970) the neck of the thermostat housing was changed. I have a 69 H-O 355 LeMans, and I ordered it back in 68. I found some pictures I took of the car when I first got it home. The original radiator hose is much lower and closer to the alternator-in fact it rubs against the back of the alternator and that is why I made a bracket to hold the hose up and away. Also sometime in the mid to late 60's Pontiac eliminated the left side of the engines wiring harness clip that hold the harness to the top valve cover bolts, instead they installed a plastic sheath and it just lies on the manifold. I had my car about a week when I smelled burning plastic, on opening the hood the sheath had softened up enough to dip in the middle and was touching the heat crossover- nice engineering!
In the picture in the link you can see the radiator hose bracket and the new aluminum harness sheath.
