PHS Docs conflict?
Ok, I got my PHS docs, but the build sheet says block 70, number 2, indicating standard rear end... The window sticker indicates item 702, saf-t-track rear end?
Any one else have this happen? |

NorthCarolina Car - cool !
64 GTO 4bbl 4spd with AirConditioning and Special Order 3.08 Axle (D-code) 702 was $2.15 Power Brakes , but no Power Steering - was sort of unusual. See a lot with Pwr Str - and manual brakes. Real unique car, and definitely a hand-picked order Saddle Bronze with Black wheels (SSA) Which month was the car built ? I show a January Built - Saddle Bronze car with Saddle Bronze wheels (SSS) |

My July 27 Pontiac plant 64 is SSA (saddle bronze and saddle interior) with spinner hubcaps. (Just providing the Baron with another data point).

Your Window Sticker should not be showing Whitewall Tires.
Whitewalls were common on many '64 GTOs and your GTO included them. But in '64, a GTO would get Red Lines or Whitewalls as a "no cost" option. Whitewalls were not a priced option on a '64 GTO. Rather they are listed as WSW or Redlines in the GTO group option list as an either/or proposition. If you want an accurate reproduction Window Sticker, I would encourage you to contact Mike Noun. 691 indicates standard brake linings (as opposed to metallic linings, nothing to do with power assist or not). 702 indicates standard open differential. 71D indicates 3.08 axle ratio. Off the top of my head, I believe the 3.08 was automatically specified with A/C in the GTO. If there was a special axle ratio request ordered, that would have been shown in the open area in the lower part of the '64 Pontiac Plant Manifest with the axle ratio indicated along with APP (approved) and only certain ratios depending on the combination were allowed and therefore approved. Yours is blank in that Special Instructions Box so the axle ratio was the standard release for your combination. You will be very pleased with a reproduction from Mike Noun, he is fanatical about accuracy and his Window Stickers will be almost exacting in detail compared to originals. |
