Default Interesting car trailer

I'm watching an episode of Nick's Garage on YouTube, and a car hauling service is picking up a '71 GTX he's been working on for delivery to the owner. The car trailer has an interesting feature I haven't seen before, the whole side of the trailer flips up (including the fenders) for easy access. Pretty cool feature.

You can get custom-made but way out of my range.

The one I saw was a double-sided opening (Gullwing) which I thought was so cool.

I have an ATC CH-305 trailer. They all have that exact door. It makes loading and unloading a breeze. The spread axle also makes towing easy. One of the smoothest trailers to ever tow. Well worth the money IMO.

ATC makes some of the better enclosed trailers out there.

An ATC 24' Raven trailer with that swing up side thing is $28k. Wow. Way out of my league.

Not sure the cost on one of these, but it makes any trailer more useful and easier to load.

Apparently, these trailers have risen drastically in price. In 5 years they are asking over 50% more than I paid for mine. I guess they fell victim to the price increases going on in car and truck markets

necdb3, you can bet raw materials costs have increased a bunch, all that aluminum, hardware from overseas. Steel & wood prices have been main reason for increased prices for lesser trailers. On these premium level trailers, I'd bet they keep increasing in price. Your ATC, how much does it weigh empty?

IIRC, 3800lbs. Leaves me with a 6200lbs capacity. The heaviest car I have is a 75 Grandville conv 4500-4600lbs
