Default 65 gto Sept build date

Looking for info on trunk floor finishes for cars built in sept of 64….body color or spatter paint ?

Good Luck with getting this answer.

I know of several members on this site that own a very early 65 GTO that was built in Sept. 64.
Plus they are from different plants which is important.

For whatever reason they never seem to share their cars history which is very unfortunate for others trying to get it right.

September of '64, Pontiac Michigan built '65 GTO.

A friend has two sept cars …California built car has body color trunk floor . The Pontiac built car has spatter paint

I had a Fremont built '65 that was a Sept. '64 car. Bought it in 1992 with original burgundy paint and black interior. A friend has it now. Spatter paint in the trunk, not body color.
