A car that rare deserved a proper restoration. I can't believe they got 65k for it. But, if you don't care about originality and just want a solid car to thrash about in, maybe that works.

From what I can tell recently, there are less and less early second gen cars out there that are decent. Prices seem to be going up. RAMC is now asking ~ 80k for restored 70 RA III TAs. There was a 71 TA that sold at Mecum this year for 93.5k and it had the spoiler decal installed incorrectly: https://www.mecum.com/lots/FL0121-44...tiac-trans-am/

Minor detail that can be easily fixed, but for 93k I would hope for better.

There have been a few others out there that look mediocre at best.

My car is not perfect but I'm glad I decided to buy it, otherwise I'd still be looking and probably spending a lot more money in the end. And yes, I have spent a fair amount of money fixing things on my car but I think that would be no different for most of any of them.
