Back in 2017 before I crashed my car my best 60' with my 2nd gen Firebird was a 1.20. That was on 8.5s and at 32550 lbs. I am pretty sure I heard the announcer at the Yellowbullet nationals this past weekend say that Jeff Kinsler was 1.10 to the 60 and I think he still runs leaf springs and Caltrack given the announcer also said he was running "horse and buggy suspension". I don't know the exact weight of Jeff's car but I am sure it is at least 3050 lbs.

Back in the day we used to say that a VW could beat anything to 100ft. Suspect someone in good shape could do that to 60 ft on foot.

Thanks guys. A 1.20 60 is awesome. We just want to get the car to hook now. The best 60 ft were 1.47. Will have to see if the Calvert springs and traction bars will help and the shocks.

Very happy with my Calvert springs and bars. They are even better with my Viking Crusaders. Best 60 is 1.37. Typical at the past Pontiac Nationals was 1.42 running 10.0s and 10.1s

Very nice times. I have a set of split mono leafs on order. Hopefully it will help the 60 ft.

Have a set of QA1 double adjustable shocks with Caltracs.

Thanks for posting the info.

Rears are mounted in the stock staggered location. Fronts are the bolt in hybrid coilover design. I don't know the part numbers right off hand but can try to find them if you want them. I worked with Mike Proulx at Viking and he picked out my set-up front and rear.

Firechickenman: Thanks for posting the link to your videos I'm curious about your setup. Whatever you have done is working very well for you. What brand converter you using, and what is it flashing to off the line? Also what rear tire size you running.? You must be going through the traps 1/4 mile at around 6300.
Thanks

Thanks! The converter is a custom 10" PTC. Flashes to 5000 but still works well on the street. 3.73 gears and 275/60R15 puts me right at 6500 throughthe traps.
