My deepest condolences.
That was a beautiful tribute you posted, thank you for sharing that with us.

One day, you will figure out which end is up but right now you've got to let grieving take its course.

God Bless

Sorry to hear this but it looks like you two shared a great life together.
I heard this on a movie recently,
They say a person dies twice once when the breath leaves the body and the second time is when the last person you know speaks your name.
Just talk about her often and she will continue to give you comfort and strength.

Hi James,

I absolutely love what you wrote about your wife.

I’m somewhat a neighbor of yours, as I live in Fremont and have been on this PY forum for years and used to see your postings.

I lost my wife suddenly 12 years ago. She was making a wonderful dinner when I came home from work on May 26, 2009 and she collapsed in the kitchen.

I know what you feel, as I was lost and didn’t know what to do.
We have a Beautiful daughter, Courtney that suffered with me.

Everybody handles these terrible losses differently and grieves differently.

I was still working which helped fill my days, but the evenings were very difficult.

I slowly starting living life again and had my ‘66 GTO which gave me enjoyment.

It will take a long time for you, but trust me when I say you will survive and continue “your” life as your wife would want.

Be strong. Reach out to me if you wish with a PM.

Chris Terry

Sad to hear.

Glad you were able to retire, make the move, and help her live the best possible life.

Seems you are already finding comfort from the memories, shared dreams, accomplishments, and closeness of your daughter and her family.

Take good care of yourself too.

So sorry to hear of your wife’s passing, it sounds like you both had something many never get to experience. Cherish what you did have, but also try to look forward and find something to set as a goal for the future. One thing I can say is I am
So impressed by those on this site when it comes to helping others! when it counts people are there and it’s sometimes people you hardly know or would expect.

Just good people .

I’ll have you, your wife and the rest of your family in my thoughts and prayers.

So sorry, such a difficult loss.

You'd crossed mind a few times recently, it seemed you were missing from these boards. Now we know why.

May God comfort you as you mourn.
