Great video for anyone who was never fortunate enough to talk to Mac in person. Mr. McKellar was very "matter of fact" about his roll at Pontiac. He certainly didn't boast about his many, many accomplishments and his lasting impact on our beloved engines and the Super Duty program. What a great guy and he clearly felt strongly about the potential of OHC power for our Pontiac V-8's. So glad the only remaining OHC V-8 engine and the 63 Grand Prix will be unified again in the future. RIP Mac McKellar.

My comment was based on the coverage story in Poncho Perfection Magazine, August 2023. The Super Duty article said Mike and Michael Huffman now own both Mac's 63 Grand Prix AND the SOHC engine that was once in the car. They went on to say they will be reunited which I assumed to mean the engine would go back in the car? The article went on to say more information would be coming soon. That is certainly how most of us would like that story to end.

Great interview. I always wanted to meet Mac McKeller at one of the shows but never got the chance. In the video he claims that there were 12 engines built for engineering. It’s hard to believe that only one survived as there have been other parts that were produced in lesser quantities and at least a few got out to the public. An example would be Ram Air V exhaust manifolds. It would be nice if a few more of these unique 421 engines were out there somewhere.
