Default Sealing rear spoiler mounting holes

What is the best way to seal the mounting holes when reinstalling the 3 piece rear spoiler? I was thinking of surrounding the holes with a bead of gutter sealer before mounting the spoiler parts. Does anyone know what was originally used by the factory?

3M strip caulk. Its basically the same stuff the factory used. Its commonly called Dum-Dum Also works good for sealing kick panels.

OK. I have this rope or strip caulk in stock in my garage. This is what I'll use.

Thanks,
Warren
