Going to miss it, I will be in Daytona OCT 03/11th.
I remember that show in the 1980's when it was tiny and on the out side near the track.

It's tradition for us. We will be driving our '63 Catalina that we bought there last year down. I forget the name of the place we are staying. I think it's the plaza.

I'm hoping to drive my '65 Bonneville over.

Found it on Sunday, October 31, 2010: The day Pontiac died.
Took it home on Monday, November 1, 2010
Drove it to the Turkey Run 2010.

That show is on my bucket list but I won't make it this year. I will be in Panama City November 13-15 for the Emerald Coast Cruizein.

I will be there as I have been over the last couple of decades. I used to do the swap meet as a vendor when it was not even near the track!

I drove the 67 GP the last couple of years and took the 67 Firebird last year too. Sold the 67 Firebird and may take the 67 GTO (first took it in 92) or the 69 Firebird I am trying to finish up. If I get real ambitious maybe the 66 GP?

I plan on attending with my 61 Catalina, do they still have the Pontiac parking area?

I think either the Hurricane POCI Chapter or the Jacksonville POCI Chapter usually coordinate the parking passes. Garry Harrison or Greg Kersul may chime in an let us know.

COOL!

I hopefully will be spectating there.
I think my brother is going also.

Hopefully the parking setup will be better than the Biketoberfest that was just there.

Default Pontiac Parking

Both the Hurricane, and Dixie Chapter Pontiac Oakland clubs once again will have a Pontiac only parking section set aside for the Turkey Rod run. The location is in the infield, and is just west of the tunnel leading out of the track. You need to pay the normal fee to enter the show, and then it is $10 to park in the Pontiac section, which we will collect. This fee is just to recoup the money paid to the Rod Run to set aside this section for Pontiacs. If you're interested in getting a parking pass prior to the show email me at pontiac500@comcast.net.

I will be in Daytona that week,[with out the GTO] I want to see how much it changed since I was last there in 1988. [I know it wasn't at the track then, it was near by]

It is HUGE compared to the 80's. Bring your walking shoes because you will need them!

My wife and son have fitbits. I'm real curious to see how many steps we take each day. After the first day I'm exhausted but it is so much fun.

We are getting ready, car is almost ready for some cruising.

This will be our 13th year.
Plan vacation around it, usually 7-12 days
