Just a late '70 model 455 Bonne block.

Whether the leading 0 degraded, or a ( characterwas substituted, the June '70 timeline is where one will start seeing this.

There was a debate on another group about a RAIV EUN that had some of the numbers out of line. Looked suspicious but when I looked at an original WW block EUN recently, it too was a bit out of line. I've seen so many EUN in a nice row but apparently this was not always the case. Love to know why this was because in a day of fakes and restamps, most of us are so suspicious of rare Pontiacs. Even more suspicious now about a recent article in the NY Post. This is really scary and it goes on more than most people think. https://nypost.com/2019/03/02/how-co...EpBUbxoe-AJu9I

That was one reason I wanted the VIN.
That's the earliest I have seen for the broken zero.
Usually it is on the 1971 blocks and forward.

EUN was stamped at PMD engine plant, along with the two-letter Broadcast 'pick-code', not at the vehicle assembly plants.

Only the VIN was gang stamped at vehicle plant in engine dress line.
