Default Neat vintage home movies with lots of Pontiacs

This was posted over on the HAMB board: It's home movies from 1958 to 1962, of someone who apparently bought a new Pontiac every year and drag raced them. There's also footage from the Daytona 500, as well as time trials on the sand prior to construction of the speedway. Lots of other cool cars shown too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MC5-8t7Rjkg

Thanks for that link. It was great. Soooo many Pontiacs. More than any other brand in this movie at least. At about 9:00 in, a guy walks up to a white Catalina with red wheels and opens the hood. I clearly see the SD air cleaners and 2X4 carbs. So either an SD car or at least an SD intake and carbs on a regular Cat. Very cool.

Someone on the HAMB ID'd that person: The gentleman near the end with the white '62 Catalina Super Duty is the late Jim Kurzen, Pontiac racer, enthusiast, and Pontiac zone rep.

I liked the 1960 wagon - it looked like it was pretty quick in the drag racing scenes.

My dad will love that video he raced a dodge D500-1 convertible back then. Which anyone who knows dodge knows that was like a red eye demon or something today. Very fast car.
Hell really enjoy that thanks for sharing.

Liked when the hot rod hung in there w the Bike, power to weight wise thats pretty impressive.

Cool video. I'm always amazed at how much litter is on the ground in old clips like these.
