Default Boostane

Have any of you guys used it.
I am going to mix a bit or use a little octane boost when I first fire this thing up.
I have some 92 all gas. 5 gallons of 110 to start out.
I am going to be a little conservative starting out with this thing.
74cc High ports, 4.25 stroker with flat tops.

That's the way to go and will also help to cover your Butt for any tuning errors that might take place.

Just keep in mind that if you take the car to the track that running octane levels above what you need will cut into power production.

5 gallons mixed with 92 should be more than enough, but having that extra wiggle room when first tuning never hurts.

2 gallons of 110 mixed with 3 gallons of 92 will get me a hair over 99 octane.
Should be more than enough.

I use a little calculator online when I'm at the pump. I put 93 in, then pull up and put a few gallons of 110 in and calculate it out when I'm driving my GN.

/\/\/\ THIS Above should be on a GOLD Plaque Header on EVERY thread about Fuel..
So many think that " More octane is better"
Octane SLOWS Combustion...
This Can help as you can put in more fuel, since you slowed down the burn , but there is a point of diminishing returns....

I have been telling guys at the track for years they did not need to mix gas with their 10.5-1 sbc engines.
One of the best racers at the track all worried about not having any 110 to mix with his 91.
I told him not to worry about it, He was apprehensive about doing it, but ran straight 91 . Then he ran his best time ever.
Breaking out against me for my first win against the dude.
Took me years to get past him in my early days.

For those of you that think more octane cost you power, watch this.

Default Boostane

I use Boostane fairly regularly in my '19 Hellcat Redeye Challenger, as I have the car setup with factory 2018 Demon, dual-mode tuning (91 or 100 octane factory programming at the touch of a button). I mix Boostane with either 91, or 93 to get to the 100-101 octane level I need. No complaints with it at all. Boostane even has an app for your phone that will tell you the proper mixture you'll need to get to the octane you want.
I will say if you use it enough you will get an orange tint to your plugs, combustion chambers, etc. Not unlike the gray coloration you get with Q16. However, there' no buildup like you get with Torco, or VP octane booster.
