VERY NICE stuff. About 3 cars in the stock 70-81 class were fresh restorations The 80' that took 5th wins the TA Nats every year he shows up. He surprised me even being there since it had rained that morning. I cant see that car being driven more than off and on a trailor. I felt like I was very close to the Florida SD...but it was an SD. Great show. The Second Gen turnout was amazing. You would have had a good time. I see the show getting much bigger.

The way the weather looked I almost didn't go. I Think the hub caps put me over the top !! A few more pictures. John put on a great show and I think if the weather had been better more cars would have turned out. The awards were pretty cool too.

You are probably right, but it seemed like a waste to pay almost twice as much for Goodyears and turn the the white letters inside. I did try some different looks.

Kenny,
Do you know David Austin? Your 2 Formulas are THE best I have ever seen. I was surprised he was not at the show. He has the hog leg as well.

I have seen his car at the B.O.P. show in Marietta and a few other places. I think his car was built in Van Nuys and is a WT code with the ram air added if I remember right. I ran into a guy at Year One a few weeks ago with a Formula the same as mine. It had been repainted red and was originally blue with tan interior. All original except for the paint. He lives about 4-5 miles from me and has had the car for two years and I had never seen it until two weeks ago. There should be a good turn out of Firebirds at Year One, on the 16th with the Bandit Run ending there.
