I suppose I should have done a "poll", but I don't know how that works...can I repeat post this in the other B-Body tech sections?

Jim,

Who built your 9"? I've got an estimate from Quick Performance, but I would like to hear
any problem you had with yours.

The Moser/Ford 9" was built and installed by ProFab Performance in Thonotossa, FL; not too far from me.
It is the Moser M9 housing. Matt at ProFab did a great job on the entire assembly. LOT of work on his part fabricating brackets, spring perches, adjustable upper and lower control arms, beefy rear sway bar, axle length, notched frame for big tire clearance, etc. It was one heck of an undertaking on his part. Wasn't cheap but I asked him to use all top shelf stuff because I only wanted to do this once !! and didn't want to blow a rear end at the strip. But the Catalina launches hard and straight so I've no complaints.

Jim

Bob - with all those go-fast goodies stuffed in that block - have you been tempted to try it out at the strip ?? How do you like your Gear Vendors O/D unit ? Heard good things about them. If you decide to go to a manual tranny I know someone that may be interested in your O/D unit. Nothing like sasshaying thru the gears in a Darksider !!
Have you picked a new color yet ? I really like that burgandy when it is done right, had a 66 Bonne that color and really liked it. Needs a really good clear coat to make that color pop.

Really anxious to get some good track time with the new P-Dude combo in the Cat. Too hot and humid down here now for any serious tuning but I think we can get in the 10.6s fairly easy. Hope to get it dialed in so we can do some program racing at the local tracks.

I really like what you are doing with your sedan.

Jim

Drag racing. An adrenalin rush like no other. It felt like going into combat, tasting your first beer, and losing you virginity, all in about 8 seconds.

I think that there is some bias against us in the "Darksider" family.
