I have had 2. a 65 Tan/ Red 2 door post and a Blue/Blue 66 Post. Both were power steering only cars. no other options. Sure wish I had them back. The 65 is in Sheridan wyoming and was restored by a 15 year old kid and looks superb. The 66 Is in Loveland Colorado last I heard.

Well, welcome anyway! You've come to the right place for help or comments. You may not have a post car but it's still a great project!

$10,500 is a steal for a survivor like this. It would make an easy sleeper conversion.

this car would make a true sleeper and you could do it cheap! Body work and interior cost a fortune, but this cat is already to go!!

too bad it is 59 and newer . I have a 57 and a 58 2dr sedan in my collection. Since others are posting ones they used to own- I used to own a 59 2dr sedan.
For parts/project cars, currently have a 61 and a 66 2 dr sedan.

Another "used to own" guy here. I was 18 in 1970. My first Pontiac was a '64 blue 2 dr sedan ex-Brookfield WI police captains car. Bought it from my future Brother-in-law. I feel like the Blues Brothers here. It had COP brakes, COP suspension, COP HD 3 speed Dearborn trans on the tree, Police/taxi cab grey plastic interior, and it still had the drivers side windsheild post located spot light. 389 2 barrel of unknown HP. Never cared what the motor was officially. It was worn out so we locked the throttle wide open wih intensions of blowing the motor. That thing wailed for 20 minutes but I did not have a tach yet so the RPM was unkown. It sounded like it was in major PAIN but just kept wailing, no smoke, nothing. Shut it down but never disassembled it. Traded it as a core for a '65 325 horse GTO 389 and Muncie trans. Added a 3:90 posi to replace the old peg leg whatever gear. I surprised a lot of people with that thing. I had cut the wheel wells and added the first big tires of the day, JC Penny Pro Tract bias ply or something like that, L60 15s. 28 tall with a full 10 inch tread. On chrome reverse 10 inch chromies. I had G60 15s on 8 inch front rims and with the big finned aluminum COP brakes, that thing I swear would lift the back end off the ground on panic stops. I worked part time at a gas station across the street from my house. I had installed a cup/can like rear spring spacer mount to raise the rear. All the spacers I could get in the front still did not lift the car to even so I had heard that station wagon springs were longer (different A arms etc) and stiffer and would lift the front as much as I needed. Got a pair from a junk yard and went to the friend in the station that knew how to exchange front springs. He used the car lift to compress the springs and tied them off with wire???? I have a feeling you know where this is going. While the car was up in the air I was helping him take care of customers (remember the days of pumping gas for customers, no really, we used to do that, heh) and we heard this humugus BANG. We ran into the shop but could not figure out what it was. Then I realized one of the springs was missing. This was an old early '20's gas station with a raised peaked roof over the lift area, for more head room. But it still had a small crawl space between the inside and roof. The spring had launched up thru the ceiling, banged around in the attic and ended up taking out the attic light. I had to pay to fix the ceiling. Thank God that was all. Now the crap part. The '64 police suspension used station wagon suspension parts so the spring did nothing for me at all. I dropped the car down (now without any sapcers) and it dropped farther down than it was. The springs were little stiffer though, so back in went the spacers but the front was never high enough to get even, just a little under. OK, I'm done boring you, But I tell you. That '64 will always be one of my favorite early big cars. The styling of the big curved rear tail lights and the big wide rear tires always stays in my heart. For an 18 year old that car was cool. And the 389/Muncie 4 speed and 3:90 gears earned a lot of respect. The demise of the '64 is another story though. Mark L

I saw Jerry's old 65 on ebay not long ago. It got me thinking again about making a push for another one and stop messing with these fbody cars.

Hey Matt. No darn it. When I was that age nothing was worth the time for pictures. Even the pics I do have of stuff are few and far between. I had a nice '64 Goat as well and never took any pics. Mark L

68 found in Iowa, had a Ford three speed, stick sedan car, thought I died and went to heaven!! 52k actual, very clean. Have a stoked 400 out to 461 going together for it, have a 3:42 posi rear ready to go in with a wide ratio 4 speed Muncie. Right in the middle of the resto, moved 150 miles north, to Brainerd MN. Man don't ever do what I did if you can help it. Tried to keep everything organized, but really looking at a nightmare to get it all reassembled now. Just towed it from the storage bldg to the shop. If everything goes to plan, should start working on it after the hoist gets installed in the new shop, maybe April.
IF IT AIN'T A SEDAN, IT'S A PARTS CAR |

Wow - that is really cool !! Love that color. I've seen one other 68 sedan, a white one with three speed.
The upside of moving to Brainerd - isn't there a good track there ??!! Jim
