Rotated engine upright, Put in Cam and lifters with Rev Lube. Then did the rookie move with the Oil Pump Drive: off align. Magnet gotit. Misaligned again and walked away. Really never messed up the oil pump drive install twice.
If the retaining tabs are still on the oil pump driveshaft, and the driveshaft isn't installed properly on the oil pump, I doubt you're going to be able to get it in the correct location now. Likely you'll have to pull the pan back off and loosen the oil pump bolts up, then lift the pump enough to line the shaft with the pump.

72cc Speedmaster heads are going to be at 11.8:1 on a zero deck 455+.060 w. flat tops. You don't think that won't detonate?

You are going to need a custom cam designed for exactly what you are doing. The wrong cam and you are in trouble.
Big cooling system and all the rest is needed also.

Hanging my hat on a pair of them 0.080" thick Cometic gaskets to keep the Pump gas real.

I ran my 455 with stock rods and crank, stock flat top pistons (except they were the TRW forged version) and ram air III heads.. it ran awesome ... until unleaded fuel came along. I am thinking it was about 11.5 : 1 compression but never really figured it out. Ran it that way for several years before finally changing it. Still have all those parts ;-)
