carburetor problem
I had to change the top of my carburetor, took all the parts from the old one and put it on the replacement top. I did not set the float. It was rebuilt and figured that it would be ok. It started right up but now it doesn't have a smooth idle like before.
Was wondering if anyone had any advice as to what it could be? Its a Rochester 2 bbl. |

Did you try tapping on the side of the carb the float is on with the handle of a screwdriver, maybe the float is sticking? Sometimes that works and sometimes not. If it smooths out then it's probably the float, or float setting.

I repaired the threads in the original top and put it back on so its good for now but I plan on replacing it with an Edelbrock AVS2.
