Iwata LPH400 cap for metallic paint
I have an Iwata LPH 400 gun that I will be shooting a metallic blue base/clear paint with soon. The gun has a 1.4 tip and the chrome cap. I see that there is a purple cap and orange cap offered for this particular gun. If you use this gun, which cap do you prefer for shooting a metallic basecoat? Thanks

I'm certainly no expert ... but I just shot verdoro green metallic with an LPH-400 .. used the silver cap. Other than my lack of skill the cap didn't cause any problems. Had better luck using 25 psi than I did 20.
Used the same cap and about 30 psi for clear ... both color and clear some areas perfect other areas not so much, but that's down to me not the gun. I'm not one to really take advice from when it comes to painting. |

I use the orange cap. Satisfied with the results I've had.
