Default 73 Formula 400 project

Selling my 73 Firebird Formula 400. Would make a great race car or restoration project.

400 engine (block no. 500557) bored 0.030” over, stock crank and rods with ARP rod bolts, Speed Pro forged pistons
6X-4 iron heads home port job and prepped by Butler Performance, milled to 85cc for 9.1:1 CR, 2.11/1.77 Ferrea valves
Comp Cams custom grind hydraulic flat tappet 228/236 @.050 duration, 276/284 adv duration, .474/.474 lift, 112 LSA, Comp Cams 1.52 rockers, Comp lifters, springs, and pushrods
Edelbrock Performer RPM intake port matched and 750cfm Quadrajet built and tuned by Shaker Tuned Solutions
Hooker 1.75” headers
Performance Distributors DUI distributor
TH400 transmission rebuilt with TransGo reprogramming kit, Hughes 2500 converter, B&M Quicksilver shifter
Stock GM 8.5” 10 bolt rear (non-posi) with 4.10 gears

Engine built in 2016, car has been driven only a few miles. I found water in the oil shortly after getting it driving and replaced head gaskets and oil/filter. Unsure if that was the only cause. Never ran hot, never found oil in radiator. Block and heads were magnafluxed before building. I moved away for college and paused the project, and now I have married and moved to Jackson, MS, so the project has paused since then. Have cranked it since.

I’m selling the car since my priorities have changed and I no longer have the means to continue the project. Needs a patch panel in the rear quarter (see pics), and has some rust in the trunk pan. Floor pan is solid. It has a base Firebird hood with an L88 style scoop on it, but I may have a rough Formula hood that I can throw in. I have a several small parts that I will include as well. Interior parts, new shocks and springs gauge cluster, etc.

The car is at my parent's house near Memphis, TN.

$4500 obo. Title in hand. Please PM, email, text or call me (text is easier during the day), I am happy to answer any questions. I am very open to reasonable offers. Thanks - Jaylan
