Default I'm on the Magnets!

I sent in a photo of my car to Rock Auto ... and, I got selected. So sometime in the not too distant future your tool box may be adorned (or not) with my 68 Verdora Green GTO

They are sending me a free batch of them, very nice folks.

That's cool. Always wondered how they chose the cars. I have hundreds of the magnets.

Never even knew that they had those magnets . That’s really cool I’ll have to get yours now . Don’t know that I’ve ever bought anything from a rock auto in my life, so they got some good advertising by giving a Pontiac a spot. What you wrote will actually make me check there for parts, because of the explanation about the pictures
If I can’t see what it looks like, I’m not buying it
I have an order for my truck next week . Because of you I’ll look there .

Btw your car looks great represents Pontiac very well!

Hey thanks guys!
I thought I'd give it a try because I have about 50 of these magnets lined up on my tool box. From what I've seen here just about every Pontiac on this forum would make it.

As a tip ... it's kind of more about the photo than the car, a good photo counts for a lot, they even have tips for the kind of photos they want.

As for Rock Auto, not to be a shill for them, but I've yet to get anything wrong from them. They sell the same crap as most places, but also sell the better versions of those parts and they show you the difference. You can also tell from the pictures when a more expensive part is actually the exact same part as a less expensive one. They can be very handy when looking for things like water pumps with cast impellers. In my case the parts usually arrive three days after ordering.

And of course I'll still be hanging out here ... I have no place else to go

Congrats on the magnet. I have a buddy that had his 81 Trans put on one a few years ago. He gave me a couple, one on my fridge the other in the shop.
