We're actually planning to be there late Sunday. The car will arrive Tuesday morning and plan on going through tech, etc., Tuesday afternoon. Can't wait ....

Coming along quite nicely, gramps!!! Absolutely gorgeous car and resto work.

Wish I could make it to the co-vention to drool over your Judge in person, but alas - it's not to be.

He's a local, with two assistants that have been working on our Project. He previously did mostly Mustangs, Shelby's and GT's. He even owns a GT-50 he is restoring and is an owner of an original "General Lee". The name is Central Maine Mustang, owned by Emery Pratt. The assistants are Bruce Webber and Don Prescott and they have been fabulous to work with. Emery and Bruce will be at the Co-Vention for reference Q&A's. Can't say enough 'bout 'em.

Great, thanks. I've been starting the search for someone to do my '66 GTO. If you're happy with them doing your Judge then my '66 might be worthy enough for them to work on.

Thanks again.

Great, I'm sure you'll be pleased. Maybe he can do a pair at the same time ... seeing he's got another '66 tentatively scheduled.

We're bring our 5th wheel and staying on the base campground as a guest of a ex-military couple. Don't know what the policy is for other visitors but we're gonna check it out.

Look at me, ... wound up so tight, I can't even spell intended words correctly ... just getting anxious.

The guys finished up the dash/steering column/wheel today and have started putting down the carpet. Even took a pic of the build sheet under the underlayment/carpet on the driver's side as was originally found. Pics to follow soon.

Gramps - I'm at the Hope Hotel and Conference Center which is supposed to be right outside Gate 12. I'm an Air Force veteran and might be able to get a pass to come on base - haven't been on one in many years and would love to visit. I'll check out what the options are. Definitely planning to visit the USAF Museum. Five days of Pontiacs and Air Force Planes....It just doesn't get much better than that!

Our traveling companions are also AF veterans, we'll certainly have the palm trees lit up as a homing beacon ... :-)

Attached is a few more pics. The gentleman shown is Dean Grant. He owned a Texaco service station back in the day, and he did all of our service work. We felt it was only fitting that he "service" and install the record decal, the same as he did so many years ago. He was also our mentor during our 11+ years of stock car racing and we are honored that he has participated in our latest venture.

Cya soon ...

Gramps:
That is really cool that you let Mr. Grant have a part in this restoration! I can't get over how beautiful that interior shot is - can't wait to see this car in-person and meet you folks. Send me a PM with your cell number and I'll send you mine as well so we can connect once we're up there.

See you there.

Yep, I think we covered it on page 10.

Yes it is the same car. I found out today though that it will not be in Dayton for the co-vention. Apparently it is too late to enter cars in the points judging. Here is a photo of the engine in another rare GTO that is hiding out at the same location.

I met the owner of that Judge at the BOP show this year - can't remember his name. Nice guy. Has some neat cars. I'd like to see his collection; how'd you get to see it?

Hi, everyone,

I've posted some of the latest pics, especially for those who won't be able to attend. She's about ready for the trailer/trip.

In fact, we're leaving in the next few hours! We're going to make a few stops and take in a couple of Wal-Mart overnight stays along the way. What a way to spend our 39th anniversary (4th)!

Again, Thanks to all who contributed, and especially, Alex S and Chuck H, for their guidance and a few key components.
