Barron...I may not be the only one that posted that...for YEARS I've been telling anyone who would listen that at best it should have been a 68 but probably a 67 to fit the timeline. The usual response "of course YOU would notice the car" .

How about "Grand Prix" with James Garner on TCM right now. Those vintage 1966 era formulas are cool, good highspeed track footage...and with that title it belongs..

There's a story that goes with that Gold 70 GTO in Slap Shot , at last recall it was still unrestored and in about exact same condition as from the movie .
Newman hit something and damaged a fender on the car. That wasn't supposed to happen. It wasn't a studio car , was a private owned loaner/rental , so that wasn't good. But , it has helped make the car authentic. The damaged fender was left that way for authenticity and the same damage can be seen in the movie to verify the car. Sorta neat That's the story as told, I didn't review the movie to cross examine. No one objected , all seemed to agree with it. |

The main car from McQ did survive its punishment.
PY Member in Washington State owns it , still has the same license plates it wore in the movie. Needs a full restoration Its not an SD car , but with the John Wayne connection its probably worth more than a comparable SD . |

I had seen it a few times before - and a few more times via the link posted.
Would have never known it wasn't Danica . Jordana was Vin Diesels sister in Fast & Furious films. |

That girl is way too tall to be Danica. Another way you can tell it wasn't her, she would have hit the building, and slid the car right over Shaq............
