I have a 1972 YS block 400 that was bored 60 over and has a 455 eagle crank and 7K3 heads.

I was wondering what the cubic inches would be.

You would have a 462 cid motor.
57.77 cid per cylinder.

Basically you now have a .030” over 455.

The heads you have on it have nothing to do with CID.

I would just tell everyone it's a real strong 400 ci with lots of torque. You are running an experimental cam.

Pontiac Dude out of Brooksville FL told me. He built the engine for me. On the receipt it stated eagle 455 crank.

As eluded to here in this thread Eagle makes two Cast Steel Crankshafts for a 455, a 4.210 stroke and a 4.250 stroke.

Does the receipt state what kind of rods and pistons are in it? Typically 4.25 stroke setups will use 6.8 Chevy rod and 4.21 stroke would use 6.625 Pontiac rod.

Might help narrow it down?

We putting 3.25 main cranks in 3.00 blocks now?

Most of the Eagle cranks were 3" mains to fit in the 400 block.
(both 4.21" stroke and 4.25" stroke)

Mine is 4.25 stroke eagle with pontiac size rods

So after further review...not an eagle crank. You can see from the pic that it is a Pontiac 455 crank cut fior a 400 block using "Custom Dude" main bearing conversion kit.

I haven't looked at this receipt in years and guess when I read the footnote under the crank part where it says " Eagle cranks might require extra Mallory to balance" I wrongly committed to memory that it was an Eagle crank. Wishful thinking I guess.

Anyway, by looking at receipt, it appears he used the original 400 rods
