Default Will 1999 WS6 wheels fit a 1969 GTO?

Hey folks,

I found a set of blue annodized factory WS6 wheels from an anniversary T/A and wanted to know if they would fit my 69 goat. They are 17" factory WS6 rims with BFGoodrich Gforce T/A 275/40/ZR17 tires, I am not sure of the width and backspacing on these wheels. If they don't fit, does anyone know where I can get a set of spacers or adapters that will fix the fit? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Not a '69 but that one is on blocks in the garage. This is a 16x8 set on my '67 with 2" spacers on the front and 1" spacers on the rear. The backspacing is 6-3/8" on the wheels.

Shadowjack, Thanks for the prompt response. That goat looks great with those wheels. Where did you get the spacers and how much were they?

dont buy cheap spacers for this job; they carry a lotta load at those thicknesses.
i can get you what you need if you go this direction with wheels.
my shop's down in rockville.

Mike,

Thanks for the heads up. I'm supposed to make my decision today or tomorrow before my friend lists them in the paper. What kind of price are we talking for the spacers so I know what the bottom line will be? My friend is asking a pretty penny for these as they have low miles on them. He also has a set of the regular polished kind in the same size, but for some reason the blue is singing to me...lol.
