Default Mounting Dakota Digital Module (73 Firebird) & Switched Power

For those who've added Dakota Digital gauges to your 2nd Gen Birds, where did you mount the control module? It needs to be easily accessible, but I can't find a good spot near the original harness (harmonica) to pull the wires & attach. I could mount on the trans tunnel under the console, but I'd have to lengthen all the wires. Dash is currently out of the car, so I have good access now. But once everything goes back together, if I have to troubleshoot or watch flashing lights on the module, I'm not as physically able to crawl upside down under the dash as I could 40 years ago.

1973 Firebird is being completely rewired with new M&H original style harnesses with the HEI upgrade option.

Also, I'm adding electric choke & TCC vacuum switch for the 2004R trans, so I need several switched IGN sources. I'm making a TCC power harness to plug into the spare IGN terminal on the fuse box, but I still need a good source in the engine bay for the choke.

None of the electrical connections for the various emissions solenoids will be used. Would any of them be a suitable 12V switched source?
