Default 70 gto hood bumps

Questions concerning location. Our gto had 1 bump on driver side only , passenger side no hole . Looking at several pics. I've seen mostly 1 in center of. Cowl, there is a hole to accept a bump. Yet they sell in pairs. Am I missing something ?

Are you talking about the hood bumpers that screw into the radiator support? There should be one on either side and one on the cowl center.

I'm referring to the one on the fire wall (cowl). I seen them on center mostly , ours was on passenger side & seen some others that way . Ames sells in pairs, just seems a little strange. The middle works good , it seems to balance well , even seems to help pop hood open a little higher . Tks for your input
