Default AC vaccuum diagram, '65 Bonne

Sorting out the missing AC-parts and vaccuum hoses on my '65 Bonneville and bumped into this on this diagram (circled red). Is this a vaccuum canister of some sort and if so where is it located in the car?

As the "dark green" vacuum hose goes to the water valve I would suspect that item is a temperature control likely located as part of the heater control.

That looks to me to be the "T" used near the front carb on a vacuum actuated tri-power.

Yes, you are correct. As luck would have it, just bumped into a video where a gentleman swapped his Carter to Edelbrock and it had all original connections. Took a screenshot of the vaccuum divider block . Now, I have Edelbrock, too and would like to go the original look route so must either find one similar to the picture or make one myself:

You are apparently working with 4bbl which is a little different than the tri-power I'm more familiar with. A lot times there was a vacuum connection for advance and also for heater vacuum at that point. Not sure what all you need to connect at that point. When someone needs a vacuum gauge and maybe a vacuum modulator as well it is easy to run out of enough connection points.

Try https://pontiactripower.com/collections/vacuum-related and see if they have anything that will help. I may have something I'm not going to use that might work also.

Well, things escalated quickly and now I'm the owner of an original 1965 Pontiac GTO Carter AFB carb (3896).

Now I need the kickdown bracket and switch and original air cleaner + the vaccuum distributor block.

This actually solves the kickdown problem since mine wasn't connected and the switch and bracket were missing and I was wondering where to put a new switch since Edelbrock levers are a bit different from Carter. Now I can put it where it originally belonged (if I can find the bracket + switch).

Also wondering about the jetting in a GTO-carb. I have the 389 but wondering if GTO had bigger main jets etc. I have 6X-heads but the rest of the engine a complete mystery (cam, pistons etc.).

Perhaps these will help. I think for vacuum the picture you had is page c-464 and c-465 items 17 & 18. They are used as alternate to item 14 maybe for power brake application. You may also need to consider using item 8 and maybe a small T if you need more vacuum connections.

Thanks! These will come in handy when sourcing for those hard-to-find parts.
