Default Disc conversion

Working on a 64 Catalina and I'm trying to source parts for a front disc conversion. I was told that Scarebird was a good source for the brackets until I learned that he's closing shop and not producing them anymore for the Catalina. What is the next best source for brackets or the whole kit, other than MPB?

Wasn't expecting that reply. I'll give Ames a call because I'm not seeing the brackets in the catalog. Thanks for the tip.

I don't think Ames' kit comes with a master cylinder, booster or proportioning valve. I bought Master Power Brakes' kit and it came with everything for my 1964 GP.

The booster they use is too small for the master.

Is the rotor they use proprietary? no 11" 5 on 5 I know of...

I don't know what they use in the front but the rear were Jeep with the center hole machined bigger. I would think the front are off the shelf .

My thoughts are.. if Scarebird doesn't have it, you don't need it. I bought my disc set from him and haven't regretted it at all. Had one problem which was taken care of and from then on, the front disc setup has run perfectly. So much better than those drum brakes ever thought of doing. Best move I ever made concerning the front brakes on my 66 GTO. The second best was not having to change out the front drum brake spindles.

Did their master and booster bolt right in or require modification?
