1969 Firebird Rear Power Antenna Removal - Help!?
Hey There,
I am trying to remove the factory power antenna from the rear quarter panel of my 1969 Firebird and am having trouble with clearance issue in getting it out. I put it in over 25 years ago and cannot seem to recall how I did it. Is there any one who has experience on this one that could help? Thanks in advance for this one! Paul |

Remove the mounting bracket from the trunk floor and it should have plenty of room to extract.

They are extremely tight fit in there. Some cars you can get them out by removing the lower bracket and pulling the bottom back and towards the center of the car but some cars (slight differences in trunk pan height?) you have to slightly raise the mast so you can get the fixed part of the mast out then slightly bend the top section to remove the rest. Removing the mast top nib first also helps.
