Trim-Clearance front of rear quarter for tire clearance?
Hey Guys,
What are some ways to Trim-Clearance front of rear quarter for tire clearance and not destroy paint outside of the well on the quarter? Thanks, Craig |

once you make that cut, your going to want to rust proof real real well. I let por15 seep between the parts first, then by hand packed seam sealer in there.
If you have a wheelwell trim piece it gotta be cut with it. if you trim a bunch the original trim piece screws may have to move outboard. did all this on my 69 Judge clone when I raced. |

Thanks - very helpful - any pictures of finished wheelwell?
Hard to imagine how to make look decent and follow original lines on 72 GTO quarter panel. Thanks, Craig |

How big of tire are you trying to use? We have a 65 which is fairly limited for tire size. I always thought you could run pretty big tires on the later cars. Maybe I dreamed that up on my own, tho.

How big of a tire? I have a 295 60 on my 69 and it fits fine

Issue is on the front where it is rubbing - Mickey thompson bias slick 10.5W. x 28 on 10inch wheels with tubes clearanced for sectional width OK at 13.1

295 65 15 mt et street ss i have adjustable upper and lower control arms . I just moved ot back a touch
