Wanted: CC 857 hydraulic roller lifter
I would like a pair (or perhaps more) of CC 857 hydraulic roller lifers. They would be the version before the 857-S (as the -S have a different pushrod cup height and would require a different length pushrod). One of my lifters has lost its ability to hold oil. Either mechanical failure (unrepairable) or 'dirty' (unable to completely disassemble for proper cleaning).

Johnson (Detroit) as posted many times did the Pontiac Hydraulic Roller stuff.
Johnson (Muskegon) did not make the stuff . So need to add the location to identify the difference in the two companies. Tom V.

Yes both Johnson lifter companies in Michigan offer Pontiac HR lifters currently. They are both hard to find "in stock". Hy-lyft Johnson still offers over priced, high quality HFT lifters for our Pontiacs. They have a high rate of issues but are probably our best choice for new good flat tappet lifters. The other Johnson no longer offers Pontiac flat tappet lifters.

Johnson Highlift has been massively wounded after the thief pulled his crap.
Basically 19 people left to build Hydraulic Lifters. A few more employees vs the Detroit area bunch who are working out of another businesses' garage area. Note: In brief, the U.S. Attorney’s office said the scheme involved Hicks selling some of Hy-Lift’s materials to customers and moving some to a facility in Canton, Mich., where Hicks and others were setting up their own auto-parts manufacturing firm. Hicks sold the parts at below-market prices, in many cases lower than Hy-Lift’s cost to make them, and used his position as a Hy-Lift manager to divert existing and prospective Hy-Lift customers to the Canton business, the government said. The people in the Canton location apparently moved to their current location. https://www.mlive.com/business/west-..._muskegon.html Another nail in Pontiac's coffin. I wish you luck on finding roller lifters. Did the other lifters fail? Tom V.
