Do all GT37's have the chrome front valance? I know the lux lemans had those, i'd always liked that.
Factory M22? I'm doubting that one.
Really cool tho.
Not my favorite color/stripe but cool car. 44K?

Front valance is '72 flash chrome, all '71 & 71 1/2's received body color front valances. Front & rear seats are thrown in's/wrong upholstery pattern. Trim 230 is Black Parody Cloth & Vinyl. Lot of other little things to correct on this GT-37.

M22 was the optional close ratio 4 speed avail behind 400 4bbl & 455 HO engines in '71 & 72 A & F-body's. Note the Safe-T-Track-HD, car was ordered with a 3.90 HD STT.
The L78 M22 combination was rarely ordered, have a few others documented in the GT-37 Survey.

If anyone can blow up & note the numbers off the protect-o-plate, I'll put this GT-37 on a survey sheet, though it won't be complete.

Another clue to the 3.90 gears is the HD Radiator...mandatory with 3.90 and steeper gears on A-bodies. Last year for factory available 3.90/4.33 gears...though I'm not sure 4.33's were actually installed even though shown to be available in PMD literature.

Default I Bought it!

I bought the GT-37. Got it home. Floors, frame and trunk are solid... One small hole in trunk. Body is pretty rough. No brakes . Starting with new brake lines, master cylinder, etc. Then new gas tank and line and hopefully get the engine running . Then go from there.

This will be a long term project, so I will start a build thread once I figure out how. Does anyone know how to post bigger pictures? . I certainly welcome helpful advice and will definitely be asking questions along the way. Stay tuned!

Yes, It is worth saving and will eventually be very cool. But in the meantime much to be done. Will be wading into it in the next several days.

That magic moment where you just look at it and take mental notes of the project that will consume thousands of dollar and hundreds of hours...

Hey Now !
Let's be fair and only post pictures of the passenger side until things get better .

That will be a good looking car when its fixed up.
Congrats and best wishes 79 Phoenix .
