Default 71 Ventura lower windshield trim install

Getting pretty much finished BUT, I cannot find out how to put on the lower stainless trim on the windshield. The clips on the ends dont come off and I am stumped. If I can figure out how to attach a pic, I will. There has got to be a trick...windshield is in.
Thanks. BILL

The clips on the end of the molding mount to the cowl behind the fender. There is a bolt hole in the cowl just in front of where the door weatherstrip touches the body.

Nice car HoovDaddy!!
I know but, what I forgot in first post is...there is no room between fender and lower part of A pillar.

So I cannot figure how to get the trim piece in. It is up on the lift right now but here is a picture that showsfender and A pillar. I tried many ways to get it in without scratching the paint. No luck.

Thanks! It’s been years since I worked on one of those. So, there is supposed to be enough space to get the clip through. If it won’t fit, I think you’ll need to loosen the top of the fender to increase the gap. I see you already have the hood on.

Did you try asking on the Nova forum?
