I,ll jump back in here and clarify my earlier post. My comments were about the quality of the work performed on the body & paint, and interior installation. I was not addressing whether or not the parts used were of the highest available quality. Don,t know all details since the work was done under prior ownership before the seller got the car. As for incorrect parts, I commented about some items during the auction and told the seller about the Radiator shroud, alternator, rear spoiler, knobs on rh air vent, and seat belts. There are other little things wrong as there are on many other restored cars. Other than the original owner I don't think there were any real Pontiac guys involved. As for it being wrecked at some time, it could explain the replacement spoiler parts. quarter repair and missing JW wheel. The car is 52 years old. As an aside I am going to go look at it again before it is picked up and see more of the paperwork about vendors used in the restore.

[QUOTE=mlewisariz;6378058. One point worth mentioning is the buyer joined BAT in Aug. 2021 and has spent a total of 1.75 million in 13 months.[/QUOTE]

Overseas maybe?

When the car was sold previously in ~2010, still purportedly wearing its original paint... both spoiler end caps appeared to be damaged. So you can see why they were replaced.

I guess the person who did the restoration work didn't notice they were different, or didn't care to correct them. A shame - easy fix before the paint goes on.

That's pretty cool that you were able to share this.

The cheap PUI seat covers are already falling apart..

The Buick air cleaner sticker is a nice touch..

Hate to ask what seems like a naive question but can someone show me the difference between the 70-73 and the 74-78 spoiler pieces?

I think this picture from NOT A TA a couple years ago shows it best.

I don’t know the details or the owner but Maybe the guy just wanted a nice looking 70 TA and $100k isn’t a lot of cash to him? Maybe , None of that stuff matters to him if he even knew the difference.

Not everyone sweats the details they just get an interest in a 70s TA That price is about the same as a hellcat or a TRX pick up or a Tesla these days even a regular 4wd diesel pick up.
