Default brand of clearcoat

I decided to fix the paint problem on my Explorer.

Can someone tell me which brand of clear coat ( 12 oz spray can) I can use with Dupli-Color EBFM03417 Perfect Match Automotive Spray Paint, Ford Silver Frost, code TS?

Thanks,
BT

The Dupli-Color paint I am using is acrylic. So does that mean use a acrylic clear coat? Or are enamel and acrylic not factors in clear coat selection?

cant help with the acrylic/enamel part, but doesnt dupli-color offer a matching clear for the auto paints in a can? i used some for a smaller touch up area years ago on a jeep, the clear was on the same rack as the colors. that would be the easiest way unless you want to use a different brand.

Forum software won't let me go back and edit the title of my post. It should be: Types of Clearcoat Enamel or Acrylic. Sentence #2 should be: Can someone tell me which type of clear coat (enamel or acrylic).......................................... ........................

I don't know if Dupli-Color offers a clearcoat. Something to look into.

I like Eastwood's "Diamond Clear". I've used it over a few types of paint.

Ok, you can use Enamel OVER dry Lacquer..
You will be better off to use a 2K clear for some UV protection and durability

Here is my last update. I ended up using Rust-oleum Painter Touch 2X UltraCover clearcoat and it looks good.
