Hey Troy,

Just found this thread.

The blue '60 is Lance's.
It runs a 572 Chebby. Beautiful car.

My old girl is looking worse for wear lately.
Been out in the weather too long.
Paint needs to be redone. Well whole car needs redoing.

Talk soon.

Greg

Hey Troy. The site where my old TA was on, American Torque has a nice pro street '60 on it.

http://www.americantorque.com/page/0/262/

Greg that '60 is really nice, I love the low and W-I-D-E stance. Yours is low and wide too. Nice cars guys. Oh, the negative is backwards, heh. Wait, is there such a thing as a negative anymore??? Mark L

The pro street '60 must be a Canadian Pontiac. Has a Chebbie engine.

Hi Mark,

Lance's car is Kick arse!!!
It's had a lot of work done to it(2 Door Conversion).
It has plenty of balls and a beautiful note.

Doesn't everyone sit on the right hand side when they drive???

I just got power steer fitted to my car...WOW...what a difference.... it's like driving a little hatchback now!!

If the Ponti has a Chebby Dash in it...then it is Canadian.

Yeah Bill I should have declared a "CHEVY ALERT" on that '60 at American Torque before publishing my reply. At least it really looks cool. Still a neat ass car. It does have a Pontiac dash however. (I know I've said it a million times but, I still want a '60 for a gasser build, maybe someday) Mark L

I still don't get why people mount their MSD box in the engine compartment will all the heat. Especially here where it's right above the headers. I would prefer to mount it in the passenger compartment .

I started post just to see how fast some 60 Pontiac cars were running. Of course I was looking for Poncho power...but post title just says "Fast 60 drag cars"....
I like all 60 Pontiacs but other power is accepted..I guess..

Cowfarmer...do you have any shots of roll cage construction under car ??? Mine is done like a uni-body car (plates welded to floor) due to X-frame. I will find a way to upgrade so I can run 9's at some point.. Post pics if ya got 'em..
Thanks

Hi Troy , he did the same, plated to the floor , except the rear bars go through the trunk floor and are welded to a crossmember they added in, i haven't got any photo's of that, ..Larry

p.s. pontiac power is great but it really blows the budget even more when your down under.

Didn't even realise you were from NZ.

Yes...It makes it all that little bit harder when we live 10,000 miles away from the US.
Plenty of Chevs in Ponti bodies here in OZ for that same reason.
Can pretty much pick them up at the milk bar!

I wish I had a 2 door '60.
