Cleaning up the rings on the Rallys while the wheels are at the blaster.
They have minor rust spots in the 'barrell' area. Got most of it with some #0000 steel wool, but that was the lightest and least of the four. Thinking a mild acid like white vinegar or ospho? I know there was a mild tremor when GYC mentioned using Muriatic Acic (presumably, a weak concentration) to clean up some old chrome. Thoughts on same? Appreciate any insight! |

these modern water based rust removers are AMAZING;
Have you considered soaking that section? (you might have to get creative on the container, or how to submerge only the section you need soaked.
