Yes I looked at that Ford gold and I like it, but it's way too modern looking. if I was doing a resto mod or something I think it would be a great choice.

I'm trying to stay on the fringes of original. the real Tiger gold was a blah brownish gold in my opinion, so I'm trying to upgrade it without going too far. kind of like radial tires, an acceptable upgrade.

We talked about taking a gallon of paint and tweaking on it until it was right, the problem with that is matching it if you ever needed to would be a real PITA. I'd rather avoid that if possible if I could find an existing mix that works.

I like that much better than the original color, and it's not so far off that it jumps at you.

Thanks to johntal I'll resume this on the original thread.

Anyway it's out of the paint booth after 7 years . I have absolutely everything restored, rebuilt or in the box to put it back together when he's done cutting and buffing.

Here are a couple pictures showing the Solar Gold on it.

Still no dice on the pictures. I don't know what changed here.

Congrats on where you're at with it.

Well other than a transmission issue I'm working on it's done. longest project I've ever done and all for the lack of a dependable painter. but it was worth it I guess.
