I have a 66 Lemans 326 with Carter AFB. I need to know how these springs should be positioned. The car will idle, get off the choke, run, and then when idling down again it jumps to the high idle. I think that the springs are my problem.

This is a pic of that area from the AFB supplied by Mr. Jon Hardgrove (Carbking) for my GTO.

This is a snip from my reproduction 66 Shop Manual, to my very untrained eye it looks like the arm from the fast idle cam should be aligned with the trip lever arm above it and the springs maintain that alignment?

I've tried posting new pictures but the "manage attachments" won't let me post my new pictures. Thanks for the help and pictures.
