I received your e-mail, Dennis, and I'll do my best to see if I can find it. It's most likely in my 2nd floor loft and parts storage area here at my shop, and it's about 125* up there. Not good with my heart condition!

When the weather moderates a tad I'll get up there and dig around.

Lloyd, There is absolutely no rush on my part! So, definitely do not search for it now, or in the near future. Winter is good for me my friend.

I'll get to it as soon as it's practical, Dennis. As bad as my memory has become (damned cardiac drugs!) it wouldn't hurt to give me a reminder in a couple of months if you haven't heard from me.

Wow - what a nice Ram Air Formula, Jim. Wish I'd been able to buy that car. What an absolute gem, optioned just to my liking!

Here are a few more pics of the Formula as Dan finishes a minor fluffing. The front bumper filler is either the original or an NOS piece. Dan basically just cleaned the grease and road grime off the engine and accessory brackets to show off the original paint finishes and patina. Dan also removed the valve covers to reveal a very clean top end and healthy motor condition. He also Whistled the motor and it indicated a true 7.8 to 1 compression ratio vs. the 8.0 to 1 advertised.

That lower mounting clip setup is something I've never seen before. My Gramma's 75 uses bolts and washers. Looks like your car has a much better design that would allow the polyethylene valance to flex properly and not crack under stress.

Nice engine bay "detailing". Well done!

I know that engine isn't gonna be "disturbed", but what a runner it would be freshened up, with 9.5:1 compression, a proper valve job with 1-piece valves and good springs, one of Dan / Mark's "068" camshafts and a sharp tune!

Never seen the D stamp on an alternator.
That air cleaner color sure is nice. Does it have the decal on the side still?

Yep. The real deal, yellowing is practically nil, showing a vehicle with low mileage. Other than the material I used, my repro was close.

In reviving this nearly-five-year-old post, I'm excited to say that as of this past weekend the amazingly-original Formula has a new home!

After years of searching, I finally found one! And I must admit that if there was a ‘74 Formula that’s perfect for me, this is it!
