Default 65 Corvette....electrical

Helping a friend with his Corvette...The car is not fully assembled. We installed his rebuilt windshield wiper motor and with a test light it shows power at the ground strap on the wiper motor. Obviously this can't be correct. Where do we start looking for the problem.

Well I would start checking all of your grounds. Clip a jumper wire to ground and the strap your wiper motor will work. You say not fully assembled that most likely your problem.

The motor is controlled through the ground. In other words, it grounds through the switch.

Is there a problem you are trying to correct or just checking before lighting it up?

Perhaps this will help.......
